In the family room you may use a coffee table which has a compartment in it to keep things. The same for decorated boxes which could double as end tables. In the bedrooms, you have many choices. For the kids' rooms, there are toy boxes accessible which could be used as window seats. Is there room under the bed? That's always a great place for containers, and a way to keep things safe, but yet still out of the way, thus making the bedroom appear decluttered.
